Hooked


Over the last 15 years the Ormarsá and the Deildará have boasted a yearly catch of about 400
salmon. This adds up to a daily average catch of nearly 1.4 fish per rod at an average weight of
between seven and eight pounds.

The fact that some 30% of all caught salmon are two sea winter salmon makes our northern rivers
particularly attractive. Every year sees several catches of salmon that weigh in at between 18 and
21 pounds.
